The origins of the University of Bologna go way back, and it is considered to be the oldest university in the Western world. It has over 87,000 students and 232 degree programs, 84 of which are international degree programs, in its 5 Campuses: Bologna, Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna and Rimini.
It has 5 Schools, 32 Departments, 48 PhD programmes, 53 Specialisation Schools, 86 Professional master’s programs of first and second level.
The University of Bologna is the first university in Italy for the number of exchange students both outgoing and incoming.
