Clarifications about the courses
The full course list can only be accessed a couple of weeks before the start of each lecturing period. Every department and faculty organises their own classes and lectures which is why the planning process takes longer than at many other universities.
Information about Online Courses & Distance Learning
We currently do not have any Distance learning regulations in place. The University of Bamberg updates students and staff in accordance with the Bavarian Ministry for Science's instructions. Normal hygiene protocols are advised.
Some online courses may be on offer. Please see the course catalogue.
Linguistic support
All students of our institution can take part in language courses during the lecturing period as part of their semester's course choice. This is free of charge.
We offer exchange students preparatory courses that start before the official start of the lecturing period. Among information regarding student life at our university and excursions, they participate in intensive German courses. Beforehand the students are grouped according to their German proficiency, A1 to C2. This course costs 250.00€ per person.
