Information about Online Courses & Distance Learning
Since the Summer semester 2022, teaching will generally take place in presence again and can be supported by digital offerings where it is useful and appropriate.
Linguistic support
The Department of Foreign Languages at TU Dortmund University offers a 4-week German Intensive Course for exchange students in September and March. This intensive language course is free of charge.
The International Office recommends participating in the German Intensive Course, since all administrative procedures and orientation events take place during these four weeks, thus allowing students the best way to settle in before the start of the semester.

Additional fees
Yes
Use of additional fees
We don't charge a fee. In Germany all students have to pay a social contribution which includes e.g. amounts for student self-administration, student associations and a ticket for public transportation and will not be kept by the university but forwarded to the final recipients. Due to this background, also Erasmus students have to pay this social contribution which is not a tuition fee.
