University’s presentation
The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Villingen-Schwenningen has 2,500 students and, in cooperation with almost 1,000 selected companies and social institutions, offers 16 accredited, career-integrated undergraduate and 4 postgraduate study programmes in the Business and Social Sciences schools. It is located in the beautiful Black Forest region.
International students are warmly welcome at the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen. Erasmus and exchange students can either participate in the International Semester with lectures in English, or attend the study programme in German. Programmes are specially tailored to meet the needs of international students. It is also possible to complete work placement phases in a training company or institution.

Information about Online Courses & Distance Learning
In general, our International Semester takes place conducting face-to-face classes on campus.
Students have the possibility to participate in extracurricular classes that in some cases take place online (in German).
Linguistic support
Our international students can participate in German language classes, Business English classes or courses about academic writing and presentation skills as part of the International Semester's course offer. Furthermore, all students at our university, including exchange students, have access to an online language learning platform that is free of charge. There is also the possibility to participate in extracurricular workshops.

Use of additional fees
A contribution for the Student Services of 75 Euros (one-time payment). The Student Services runs the university's canteen and cafeteria and is in charge of the student dormitories, among other things.

Accommodation solutions and amounts
We offer accommodation in the student residence or with private landlords, in shared apartments or private apartments. Students can indicate their preferences during their application process and we assist with finding an accommodation. Prices range from approximately 280 Euros to 500 Euros per month, depending on the type of accommodation.
